Biography
Ayat Mohagheghi was a Brigadier General in the Imperial Iranian Air Force and a key participant in the 1980 Shahrokhi (Nojeh) uprising. He was executed by the Islamic Republic following a televised trial for his role in the attempt to restore the previous government. He is memorialized for his patriotism and the composure he maintained prior to his death, even as his grave has been repeatedly targeted for destruction.
تیمسار سرتیپ آیت محققی، از فرماندهان نیروی هوایی شاهنشاهی و از چهرههای کلیدی قیام شاهرخی (کودتای نوژه) در سال ۱۳۵۹ بود. او پس از لو رفتن این حرکت نظامی، بازداشت و پس از یک محاکمه تلویزیونی اعدام شد. از او به عنوان میهنپرستی یاد میشود که در لحظات پیش از مرگ با استواری از عشق خود به ایران سخن گفت و مزار او نیز بارها توسط حکومت تخریب شده است.
